Martin Porubcan Jr.
Martin Porubcan Jr. of Delafield, 82, was born to eternal life Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009.
He was the beloved husband of Ruth A.(nee Lepak); loving father of Martin (Susan), David (Wanda) and Laura (Tom) Condon; proud grandfather of Martin F. Porubcan, Rachel Porubcan, Alexis Porubcan, Thomas (Rebecca) Condon Jr., Timothy Condon and Ted Condon; great grandfather of Thomas Condon III; and brother of Jean (Paul) Luehring. Also surviving are other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin A. and Laura (nee Zakzesky); first wife, Edith Augusta; and two sisters, Laura and Betty.
Martin worked for 42 years as a foreman for the Milwaukee Road Railroad. He was a member of the Delafield American Legion Post No. 196 (chaplain for nine years) and enjoyed dancing at Serb Hall in Milwaukee. Martin also served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Jan. 18, at Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home. Final rest will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at City of Delafield Cemetery.
