Richard Schirmacher was born Oct. 14, 1929, a son of Walter and Iva Schirmacher, and died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; son, Scott; grandsons, Anthony (Dana) and Rueben; great-granddaughter, Rhiannon; great-grandson, Nickolas; brothers, Harold (Joyce) and Ralph (Diana); and a sister, Barbara.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janet; a brother, Robert; and his daughter, Kathleen Schirmacher Poppy.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
