June Winter of Waukesha died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Pewaukee, at age 88. She was born July 13, 1920, the daughter of George and Bessie (nee Wellendorf) England.
June married Floyd Winter on June 17, 1939. June worked for many years at Amron Corp. in Waukesha, where she worked in bullet manufacturing. She loved to walk, swim, bowl and especially go out to eat. June was also a volunteer for the Waukesha Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry.
June is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her son, Michael (Robin) Winter Sr. of Pewaukee; five grandchildren, Michael Jr., James, Dustin, Richard and Kristy; eight great-grandchildren; special friend, Cathie; sister-in-law, Gloria (Virgil) Obermeyer of Columbus; and nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd; and a son, Dennis.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Monday, Feb. 2, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Inurnment will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery.
