The Rev. Gordon A. Weber

April 20, 1927 - July 4, 2009

The Rev. Gordon A. Weber of Milwaukee died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Froedtert Hospital at age 82. Father Gordon was born April 20, 1927, in Milwaukee, the son of Nicolas and Blanche Weber and beloved brother of the late Rev. Donald N. Weber.

Father Weber was a follower of Jesus Christ and ordained a priest Feb. 17, 1952. He studied at Marquette University High School, St. Francis Seminary and Marquette University. His assignments were St. Catherine Parish, Milwaukee; St. Mary’s Parish, Elm Grove; St. Frances de Sales Preparatory Seminary, Milwaukee; Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Milwaukee; St. Mary’s Parish, Menomonee Falls; St. Eugene, Fox Point; and St. Mary’s Parish, Waukesha.

Father Weber will be missed by his cousins, former parishioners and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. concelebrated Mass of Christian burial Thursday, July 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. The Most Rev. William P. Callahan will preside. A private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.
