Howard L. Bucy
March 8, 1923- July 9, 2009
Howard L. Bucy, 86, of Waukesha, was born to eternal life Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Waukesha Springs Nursing Home. He was born March 8, 1923, in Decatur, Neb., to Clarence and Inez (nee Fetty) Bucy.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II where he was a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge, the Army of Occupation after the war and then again in the Korean Conflict. On Feb. 25, 1950, he married the former Joan Kerr. He had lived in Nebraska with his family until 1964 when he moved to Wisconsin and established J. M. Bucy Trucking Co. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 411 in Milwaukee.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Joan of Waukesha; their children, Pamela Greene of Waukesha, Ronald (Lora) Bucy of Big Bend and Donald (Grisel) Bucy of Waukesha; brothers, Eldon (LaDonna) Bucy and Earl (Helen) Bucy; sister, Larie (Dave) Way; grandchildren, Hilary (Rick) Mucino, Andrew (Brenda) Greene, Sidy Garcia, Joshua Bucy, Chelsea Greene, Angela Limberg, Tomas Eisenbart, Trevor Bucy and Jenna Martin; and two great-grandchildren, Lindsay Greene and Ilena Andaluz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
In accordance with his wishes, graveside services with full military honors will be held in Decatur, Neb., at Hillcrest Cemetery.
