Beulah Evans, formerly of Wales, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Compass Point in Dousman at the age of 85. She was born Aug. 4, 1923, in Sussex, the daughter of Theodore and Isabelle (nee Kurtz) Siewart.
Beulah graduated from Waukesha High School in 1941, and later was united in marriage to Byron “Bunny” Evans. She was employed as a secretary for Generac and Wales Metal before retirement. Beulah was a longtime member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Wales and a member of Kettle Moraine Country Club. She enjoyed golfing, gardening and had a great love of animals, especially their golden retrievers.
Beulah will be sadly missed by her children, Holly (Steve) Evans-Burns of San Lorenzo, Calif., Robin Evans of Carson City, Nev., and Doug (Connie) Evans of Cottage Grove; grandchildren, Trevor, Seth, Lane (Jennifer), Gwen, Sarah and Trent; and great-grandchild, Addison.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Byron, in 2006, and also was predeceased by her siblings, Ted, Earla and Joyce, and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. memorial service Monday, July 27 at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church, 207 W. Main St., Wales. The Rev. Julie Craig will preside. Interment will be held privately at Jerusalem Cemetery.
