Irene Mundschau (nee Kunsky) of Dousman passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at the age of 99 years.

She was born May 28,1910. On Oct. 7,1931, she married Henry Mundschau, with whom she shared 54 years. Irene was a cook at the Masonic Home for many years and loved to be out in the garden watching her vegetables grow. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church in Dousman.

Irene was the loving mother of Lorraine Ingersoll of Oconomowoc, Eleanor (David) Lauber of Dousman, Melvin (Susan) Mundschau of Dousman, George (Carole) Mundschau of Dousman and William (Judy) Mundschau of Dousman; and the fond sister of Frances (Louis) Surber of California. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Kevin (Lisa) Ingersoll, David (Peggy) Lauber, Larry (Mary) Lauber, Bradley Mundschau, Warren (Sue) Mundschau, Wade (Rachel) Mundschau, Gayle (Dan) Scheel and Gwen (Paul) Scheel. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Jarred and Lillian Ingersoll, Michael and Emily Lauber, Ely and Ray Lauber, Sawyer and Anna Leis Mundschau, Graham and Gabriel Scheel and Nathaniel Scheel. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter Melissa Mundschau, two brothers and one sister.

Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Monday, July 27, all at St.Bruno Catholic Church in Dousman. Final rest will be at St. Bruno Cemetery. Memorials to the church are appreciated.
