Michael "Mike" James Darrah

Michael "Mike" James Darrah of Phoenix went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 1, 2009. He was 55 years old. He was born on June 9, 1953, in Madison and moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 2003. Since that time, he worked as a material handler at Jack-In-The-Box Warehouse Distribution Center in Phoenix.
Mike and Joyce Trimble were married in Phoenix on February 18, 2006. Mike enjoyed reading, computers, working in the yard, his family and listening to music. He also enjoyed his family pets. Mike was famous for his quick wit, his ready laugh and his love of family potlucks, cooking and going out to eat. Mike attended Calvary Community Church in Phoenix and strived to show others a Christ-filled life.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Darrah of Phoenix; his mother, Shirlee; and Dan DeCoto of Mesa; one sister, Colleen (Loren) Wright; three brothers, Gary (Jeanette) Darrah, Brett (Karen) DeCoto and Ben Byers, all of Mesa, Ariz. He was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2009, at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W. Juniper Ave., Gilbert, Ariz., with memorial services at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, also at Falconer Funeral Home.
