Frank D. Jirik

Frank D. Jirik, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center at age 77. Frank was born Jan. 12, 1932, the son of the late Frank and Jeanette Jirik.
He married Betty Dresdow on Feb. 14, 1953. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Frank was a past president of the Eagles Club and a member of the DAV. He enjoyed hunting, John Wayne movies, puzzles and traveling.
Frank will be dearly missed by his wife of 56 years, Betty of Waukesha; sons, Thomas (Carol) Jirik of Dousman and Mark (Karen) Jirik of Mukwonago; and grandson, Trevor Jirik. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jean Alloy.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, June 13, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Ralph Schultz will officiate. Entombment will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ Building Fund, 413 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
