Paul W. McKenzie
March 20, 1932 – June 19, 2009
Paul W. McKenzie passed away Friday, June 19, 2009, at the age of 77.
He was born March 20, 1932 at Cataract to Clark and Mildred (Boisen)
McKenzie. Soon after that, he moved to and grew up in North Prairie. He
graduated from Mukwonago High School and soon after was inducted into the
Army and became a Korean War veteran.
He married his wife, Sally (nee Whettan), in September 1954. Together they
had six children: Cheryl (Terry) Singsime, Mary Jo (Charles) Milazzo, both
of East Troy; Jo Ellen (Scot) Kalinowski of Mukwonago, Peggy (George)
Howard, Robert and Patrick (Virginia) of Zephyrhills, Fla. Paul has seven
grandchildren: Craig, David, Keri, Adam, Janice, Amanda and Kaitlyn; one
great-grandchild, Nora; and three stepgrandchildren: Austin, Lindsey and
Brittney.
He also is survived by his brothers: Gerald (Irene) of Mukwonago, Alan
(June) of Wisconsin Rapids and James (Ellen) McKenzie of Indiana; and a
sister, Evelyn (Dick) Newbury of North Prairie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Paul was a retiree of the Trent Tube Co. He was a member of the Mukwonago
American Legion Post 375 and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 7221 of Mukwonago. Paul also was a very avid Wednesday afternoon
visitor at Jays Lanes.
Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Thursday,
June 25, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Mukwonago.
