Violet Rupnow

Oct. 24, 1919 - June 25, 2009

Violet Rupnow, 89, of Oconomowoc, had her gentle soul taken by the Lord on Thursday, June 25, 2009.  

Violet is survived by her children, Marcia (Brad) Stocks, Ronald (Linda) Rupnow, Joyce (Walter) Steger and Fred Rupnow; grandchildren, Kyle (Erika) Rupnow, Eric (Kara) Rupnow, Matthew Steger and Christopher Steger; great-grandchildren, Mason Rupnow and Parker Rupnow, along with many other relatives and friends. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Helen Gauerke; husband, LaRue Rupnow, and brother, Elwood Gauerke.

Violet enjoyed sports and the love of her family.

Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, followed by a 5 p.m. funeral service. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at La Belle Cemetery. The family has requested memorials be made to Bethesda Lutheran Home, 1320 Wakoka St., Watertown, WI 53094.
