WAUKESHA Howard J. Wurst Howard J. Wurst of
Waukesha died peacefully on June 9, 2009, at AngelsGrace Hospice. He was
born March 9, 1922, in Philadelphia to Howard J. and Anna S. Wurst. Howard
served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. As a waist gunner
in the B-26 Martin Marauder, he flew 26 missions earning the air medal. He
retired from the Waukesha Police Department in 1977 as a detective. Howard is survived
by his loving wife Irene; daughters, Virgie (John) Christopherson and
Vickie; and grandchildren, Laurie (fiance Keith Steward) and Steven
(Katie) Christopherson. He is further survived by his faithful friend,
Spunky, and granddogs, Grayse, Boop and Tasha. Thank you to the
staff and volunteers at AngelsGrace for their outstanding care and
compassion given to Howard. A private family
gathering will be held. Randle-Dable Funeral, Cremation and Preplanning
Services, 547-4035, assisted the family. (Freeman - June
