ELKHORN Norbert A. Kienast May 8, 1923 -
March 12, 2009 Norbert A. Kienast,
formerly of Elkhorn, died Thursday March 12, 2009, at Aurora Lakeland
Medical Center at age 85. He was born May 8, 1923, in St. Lawrence, the
son of Arthur and Ella (Nickel) Kienast. Norbert served in the
U.S. Army from January 22, 1943, until February 5, 1946. He had a tour of
duty in Normandy, northern France and Rhineland. On October 19, 1946,
he was united in marriage to Beverly L. Karaffa in Pewaukee. She died
August 27, 1986. Norbert was
employed as a machinist for over 27 years with Amron Corp. of Waukesha,
retiring in 1987. Norbert is survived by
his three children, LaMarr Kienast of Elkhorn, Jolene (Robert) Wheaton of
Genoa City and Robbin (Ron) Reeves of Delavan; brother, Marvin Kienast of
Waterford; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Norbert was preceded
in death by his wife of 39 years, Beverly; two sisters; and seven
brothers. A visitation will be
held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009, until the 3 p.m. funeral services
at Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn.
