James E. ‘Jim’ Zamber

May 26, 1965 - March 22, 2009


James E. “Jim” Zamber of Waukesha died Sunday, March 22, 2009, as a result of a motorcycle accident at age 43. He was born May 26, 1965, in Oconomowoc, the son of James L. Zamber and Constance M. (Verhalen) Zamber. 

Jim served his country in the U.S. Army. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting and camping. He also enjoyed cooking and will be fondly remembered as a jokester who loved to laugh. But most of all, Jim’s greatest passion was riding his Harley-Davidson.

Jim will be sadly missed by his son, Jim Zamber of Three Lakes; his daughters, Andrea Zamber of Germany and Brandy Zamber of Waukesha; his mother, Constance Zamber of Madison; siblings, John (Christie) Zamber of Madison, Cindy Martin of Park Falls and Joe (Tiffany) Zamber of Deerfield; former wife, Dawn Zamber of Waukesha; stepdaughter, Jade VanLare; stepson, Dave Hamilton; stepgranddaughter, Sammy; and many other loving relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service Saturday, March 28 at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
