Walter A. Schultz

July 10, 1937 - March 29, 2009

Walter August Schultz took his last breath on earth and entered eternal life Sunday, March 29, 2009, surrounded by his family at age 71. Walt was born in Beecher, Ill., to the late Walter and Louise (nee Schroeter) Schultz.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ernette (nee Kretzmann). He will be deeply missed by his children, Kathryn (Joseph) Caldas of Marshall, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) of West Allis, Mary (Steven) Lein of Mayville and Martin (Carri) of Campbellsport. He was the proud grandpa of Jeremiah, Abby, Ashley (Joshuah), Jacob, Aaron, Elizabeth, Hannah, Madelyn, Samuel, Dylan and Alex and stepgreat-grandpa of Alexander. He is also survived by his loving brother, Donald (LaDonna) Schultz of Beecher, many nieces, nephews and friends both here in the Midwest and at Riverside in Florida.

Walt graduated from Beecher High School and Illinois State University. He was an industrial arts teacher at Glenwood School for Boys from 1960 to 1973 and at Wisconsin Lutheran High School from 1973 to 1999. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Okauchee. He and Ernette spent the last eight winters in Florida with their very special Riverside family.

Walt was an avid fisherman, hunter, singer and bird carver. He loved spending time with his family and treasured his family vacations either camping or at Disney World.

Friends may visit from 3 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. funeral service Thursday, April 2, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 35181 Wisconsin Ave., Okauchee. His final rest will be in LaBelle Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to AngelsGrace Hospice, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or Time of Grace Ministry.
