WAUKESHA Emma B. Breu April 16, 1921 -
May 7, 2009 Emma B. Breu of
Waukesha died Thursday, May 7, 2009, at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 88.
Emma was born in Straubing, Germany, on April 16, 1921, the daughter of
Karl and Fanny Bauer. She married the
love of her life, Alois Breu on June 29, 1940. Emma was a longtime member
of St. William Catholic Church, Waukesha. She enjoyed doing crosswords,
picture puzzles, her knitting group and phoning her family and friends in
Germany. Living at Oak Hill Terrace has been a highlight in her life, but
her greatest joy was spending time with her family here and in Texas. Emma will be
dearly missed by her daughters, Brigitta (Rocky) McGrorty of Waukesha and
Renata (Fred) Sullivan of Houston; grandchildren, Andy and Ben Ritter,
Brigitte (Baldemar) Robledo and Anthony (Laura) Sullivan;
great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Christopher, Monique, William and Emma;
sister, Hilde Bauer; and other relatives and many friends.
Emma was preceded
in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and a brother. Visitation will be
held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 13,
at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188.
Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee. In lieu of
flowers, memorials to St. William Catholic Church are appreciated (see
