Candace ‘Candy’ Rose LaLonde (nee Stolpa)

June 28, 1955 - May 7, 2009

Candace “Candy” Rose LaLonde (nee Stolpa) was born June 28, 1955, in Milwaukee, and died unexpectedly Thursday, May 7, 2009, at her home in Waukesha.

Candy is lovingly survived by her son, Paul LaLonde, and her daughter, Crystal Toicen, both of Waukesha. She was the cherished grandmother of Brandon Toicen.

Candy is further survived by her brothers, Steven (Sharron) Stolpa of Waukesha, Kris (Cindy) Stolpa of Green Bay and Graham (Sandy) Stolpa of Lake Mills, and sisters, Traci Triggs (finace Greg Durst) of Marshall and Michelle Roll of Horicon.

Candy also is survived by her uncles, William Stolpa of South Milwaukee and Mel (Sharon) Stolpa of Almond; Aunt Florie (the Brownie Lady) Brown of Waukesha; Uncle Ray Wettengel of Milwaukee; and Uncle Dick (Bev) Wettengel of Oak Creek. Many cousins, nieces and nephews further survive Candy. She was known to all the children as the “auntie with the stuffies” (stuffed animals). Candy also will be missed by her close friends Joan and Gilbert Zuniga and Emily and Mark Harris.

Candy was preceded in death by her parents, Joan Marie and Norman Stolpa.

A celebration of Candy’s life will be held from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Hannon’s Restaurant, 357 W. Broadway, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
