Deborah Lynn Close

May 12, 1956 - May 13, 2009

Deborah Lynn Close, 53, of Waukesha, a beloved mother, wife and sister, passed away with courage and grace Wednesday, May 13, 2009, with her family at her side. Deb was born May 12, 1956, the daughter of Jim and Barbara David. She was followed six years later by her sister, Eva Marie, with whom she shared a special bond throughout her life.

She married Ron Close in July 1979 and they were blessed with a daughter, Amy. They were a small family and enjoyed their lives together.

Deb was a devoted employee of McDonald’s Corp. for 29 years, having worked at the original store on Grandview Boulevard and later the Silvernail store. She loved her work family and was admired and respected by countless co-workers and customers who shared their lives with Deb.

Deb will be deeply missed by her husband, Rob; daughter, Amy; sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Mark Ploor; and mother- and father-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many cousins, aunts, uncles and so many special friends, especially her faithful canine friends, Dusty, Curly and Angel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Marie; and her special grandmother, "Toots."

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the the noon funeral service Tuesday, May 19, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.

A special thanks to all the people at Waukesha Memorial Hospital who gently cared for Deb, especially Dr. David Schmidt. We would also like to thank the wonderful staff and volunteers at AngelsGrace Hospice.
