Lorraine Harmon Martin

Lorraine Harmon Martin of Keshena and Lakeland, Fla., died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 79. Lorraine was born in Waukesha on Nov. 8, 1929, the daughter of Bernard and Emma Kreidler.

Lorraine was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena where she served as an extraordinary minister of communion. Lorraine was also a member of the Legend Lake Property Owners Association. She enjoyed pottery making, golfing, bowling and fishing. She was also an excellent cook and creative organizer. Lorraine will be remembered as the "Martha Stewart" of her time. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Lorraine will be dearly missed by her husband, John; children, Karen (Jeff) Wandsneider of Waukesha, Tom (Mary) Harmon of Helenville, Dan Harmon of Waukesha, Linda (Jose) Ayala of California, Mary Jo (Jerry) Wagner of Florida and John (Lora) Martin of Missouri; grandchildren, Lee, Greg, Jannel (Pat), Katie (Yoichiro), Jeannine, TJ, Ben, Kim, Richard (Maria) and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Laurisa, Skylee, Carly, Dominic, Colin and Maddie; brother, Larry (Evie) Kreidler; sisters, Emma Keske, Marion Smith, Beanie Poppie and Kitty (Jim) Gilane; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Glen Harmon; sons, Rick and Mike Harmon; and brother, Fritz Kreidler.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral Mass on Monday, May 18, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha. The Rev. Leonard Barbian will be officiating. Entombment will immediately follow the Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.
