Donald ‘Don’ Dietzler

Donald "Don" Dietzler of Waukesha died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee at age 69. Don was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 2, 1939, the son of Marlon and Florence Dietzler.
He married Virginia "Ginny" Remillard on Aug. 7, 1965. He loved teaching and coaching. He was the wrestling coach at Muskego High School and Carroll College, and the coach of the Muskego Maverick Youth Baseball Team. Don was an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. He enjoyed listening to barber shop music, flowers, bird watching, traveling, golfing and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Don will be deeply missed by his wife, Ginny; daughter, Jody (Vance) Tang of Naperville, Ill.; sons, Jeffrey (Betsy) Dietzler of Muskego and Jon (Michelle) Dietzler of Kenosha; grandchildren, Christin and Alexander Tang, Jarret Dietzler and Emma, Lily and Lucas Dietzler; brother, William "Bill" (Ardell) Dietzler of Knoxville, Tenn.; and sister, Marilyn Schaler of Ephrata, Wash. Don is further survived by nieces, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Don will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI 53186. A visitation will take place from 3 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Wednesday at the church.
