James H. Buth

James H. Buth of Sullivanpassedaway Monday, May 25, 2009, at age 86. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn.

James was born in Golden Lake to William and Edith Buth on Aug. 1, 1922. He married Evelyn Mules on June 11, 1949, in Rome. James was a former draftsman at Braun Lumber Co. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Air Force in Africa and Italy. Hereceived the staff sergeant Air Corps Air Medal, awarded May 22, 1944. Hewas a sergeant armor gunner and a sergeant aerial gunner. He flew 66 missions. James was a member of Oconomowoc Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2260.

He is survived by his children, Kaye (Keith) Yahn of Menomonee Falls and Karen (Anthony) Schadt of Watertown; grandchildren, Erin and Brandon Yahn and Stephanie and Kimberly Schadt; and his sister, June (Eugene) Hall of Texas.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, on July 31, 1996.

Friends may visit from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, May 30, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Rome. His final rest will be in St. Lukes Lutheran Church Cemetery.
