Leonard David Lewallen

June 25, 1943 - May 24, 2009

Leonard David Lewallen, 65, of rural Stanley, found eternal peace Sunday, May 24, 2009, at home with his family at his side.

He was born June 25, 1943, in Stanley, the son of the late Donald and Mae (nee Phillippi) Lewallen. Leonard married Patricia Ann Heath on June 15, 1963, at United Methodist Church in Fairchild. The couple lived and raised their family in Pewaukee.

Leonard began his career at Briggs & Stratton in West Allis in 1962 and later retired at the age of 48 in 1992. Leonard moved to the family home, where he lived the remainder of his life. He loved hunting, summer fishing and especially ice fishing. Leonard made yearly trips with family and friends to Canada to fish and out West to hunt. He also enjoyed gardening and working on his pond.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Lori (Bobby) Schuster of Stanley and Connie (John) Goetzke of Pewaukee; grandsons, Ryan Leonard Lewallen of Holcombe and Jonathan Goetzke of Stanley; his brother, James (Barbara) Lewallen of Stanley; and many other family and friends.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger; sister, Donna "Pepsi" Lodahl; and a grandson, Andrew Goetzke.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service Thursday, May 28, at Plombon Funeral Home, 502 North Broadway St., Stanley, with Steve Mohr officiating.
