Charles B. Harding, 82, of Waukesha, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009. He was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Buford and Cornelia (nee Plate) Harding.

Charles was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Purple Heart Association, and was a past president of the bowling association.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Harding; 10 children, Charlotte Kalvelage, Jill (Pete) Delany, Guy (Candi) Harding, Cheryl (Joe) Schmitz, Joyce (Paul) Gramz, Paul (Mary) Harding, Daniel (Laura) Harding, William (Renee) Harding, Matthew (Sue) Harding and Kristopher (Nicole) Hoff; 14 grandchildren, Kelli, Michelle, Erica, Zack, Greg, Kyle, Janelle, Alex, Lucas, Amanda, Madalyn, Natalie, Aminee and Kadin; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Colin, Jade, Brianna and Tyler; sisters, Joan and Marilyn; and brother, Gilbert (Marie) Harding.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jackie.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, May 30, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waukesha.
