Lois Arlene Medina of Waukesha died Monday, May 25, 2009, at Willowcrest Care Center in Milwaukee at age 78. Lois was born on Aug. 4, 1930, in Racine, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (nee Johnson) Welch.

Lois will be deeply missed by her children, ViVina (Robert) Falk of Cascade and Mark (Joyce) Medina of Milwaukee; her grandchildren, Laurence, Jamie, L.J., Miranda and Nathaniel; her sister, Marvel Hudgens of Racine; her brother, James Welch of Milwaukee; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose T.; her sons, Jose T. Jr. and Larry; her sister, Ruth; and brother, Ted.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Friday, May 29, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. William Key will be officiating. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at Pine Lawn Cemetery, Milwaukee (meet at the cemetery office).
