Joseph Allen (Lon) Karenz of League City, Texas, and formerly of Oconomowoc, died at his residence Wednesday, May 27, 2009. He was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Milwaukee, to Joseph Karenz and Wilma Owens Karenz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jon A. Karenz.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Karenz; son, Scott Karenz of Oconomowoc; stepchildren, Donald Dickson of Milwaukee, Frederick (Marissa) Dickson of Texas City and Heather (Samuel) Folgert of North Attleboro, Mass.; stepgrandchildren, Lauren and Nicholas Dickson and Maxwell and Hayden Folgert; brother, Gary (Sharon) Karenz of Oconomowoc; sisters, Beverly Gene White of Tampa, Fla., and Janet Leverenz of Hustisford.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 1, at Lakeside Lutheran Church, 1101 S. FM 270, League City, Texas, with James E. Fowler officiating.
