He was employed as an auto mechanic in Waukesha for several years before working for Quality Aluminum, where he eventually became foreman until retirement. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary (Timoteo) Gonzalez and Liz (Catarino) Monreal, and his parents.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to Lupe’s oncologist, Dr. Gil Rodrigues, for the many years of care he provided, all the "angels" in the oncology department at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the staff at Aurora VNA.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral Mass on Saturday, Nov. 7, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha.
