20, 2009 With grieving hearts,
the family of James Robert “Jim” Kimball announces his peaceful
passing, following numerous health issues, on Sept. 30, 2009, at the age
of 85 years. Jim is forever
cherished by his loving wife, Dorothy, of 55 years; daughter, Susan (Bob)
Aldrich of Kitscoty, Alberta; sons, Dan (Wendy) Kimball of Spring Hill,
Fla., and Bill (Sandra) Kimball of St. Albert, Alberta; grandchildren,
Joshua of Red Deer, Alberta, Sarah (Travis) of Winterburn, Alberta, and
Jacob Aldrich of Kitscoty, Christopher, Addison Mae and D. Walker (1
month) Kimball of Spring Hill, Fla., Robyn, Ryan and Michael Kimball of
St. Albert; as well as one great-grandchild, Owen. He now joins in heaven
his much-loved parents, E. Robert and Margaret Kimball; his son, Bob; and
granddaughter, Amy Aldrich. Born in Waukesha, he
served proudly in the U.S. Navy through World War II. He graduated from
the California Arts Center of Design post-Navy and became a professional
photographer. He went to Canada to be among the first staff at the
Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1963, teaching photography. He loved his family,
the beauty of the world which he shared through his photography, and was a
man of generosity, warmth and kindness, offering a hand whenever needed. A private celebration
was held in Edmonton on Oct. 5. In lieu of flowers, the family would
appreciate your act of kindness or a helping hand to someone else in need
as he did. To send condolences,
