Marjorie Winquist, 72, of Fontana, passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Williams Bay Care Center. She was born Sept. 9, 1937, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Edna (Jirava) Wagner.
She married James Winquist Aug. 12, 1961, in Iowa City.
Marjorie received her bachelorís degree from the University of Iowa. She waukesha in the Waukesha public schools, was past president of the Waukesha Symphony Auxiliary, and a member of the Waukesha Service Club and the Pricilla Circle.
She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Wendy (Todd) Olson of Plymouth, Minn., and Corrie Winquist of Waukesha; grandchildren, Madison and Jack Olson, and Devon Winquist; sister, Marian (William) Payne of Muscatine, Iowa; sister-in-law, Mary (Michael) Keeling of Breckenridge, Colo.; brother-in-law, Michael (BJ) Winquist of Rockford, Ill.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 10, at Fontana Community Church in Fontana, with the Rev. Robert Meyer officiating.
She will be missed by her family and dear friends.
