Jerome S. Markielewski

Jerome S. Markielewski, 77, formerly of New Berlin and most recently of Oakfield, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac. He was born April 28, 1932, in Milwaukee, a son of the late Stanley and Anna (nee Knoch) Markielewski.
Jerome served with the National Guard for two years during the Korean Conflict.
He married Jean Anderson in 1951, and then on June 17, 1962, he married Marilyn B. (nee Miller) Critchley at Division Street Methodist Church, Fond du Lac.
Jerome managed a gas station in Fond du Lac prior to his employment at Giddings & Lewis from 1962 until his retirement in 1995. In his early years, Jerome enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He was an avid collector and a member of Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Molina of Racine and Barbara (Randy) Weber of LeRoy, Minn.; a son, Thomas Markielewski of Oakfield; three stepsons, William (Jeanine) Critchley of Madison, Steven (Marian) Critchley of Fond du Lac and Randall (Debra) Critchley of Taycheedah; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Markielewski of West Bend and Richard (Betty) Markielewski of Cottage Grove; and a sister, Carol (Dan) Kubinski of Franklin, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, on May 11, 2001; a daughter, Diane Harris; a son-in-law, Paul Molina; and two sisters-in-law, Esther and Ruth Markielewski.
The visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 12, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, with the Rev. Laura Yates officiating. Burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope.
