Irving E. Bonniwell

Irving E. Bonniwell, of Delafield, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Waukesha Springs at the age of 94. He was born June 14, 1915, in Delafield.

Irving was a graduate of St. John’s Military Academy and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Delafield American Legion Post 196 and active in the Forty & Eight Society. Irving was a volunteer firefighter in Delafield for many years and owned Bonniwell Department Store.

He will be sadly missed by his son, Eugene (Lorraine) Bonniwell of Waukesha; his granddaughter, Sheila Bonniwell of Sussex; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nettie; brothers and sisters, Glenn, Wes, Vi and Margaret; and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, Nov. 20, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Burial with full military honors will follow at Delafield Cemetery.
