William L. Green

William L. Green, 79, of Watertown, formerly of Oconomowoc, passed away Sept. 30, 2009, at the VA Hospital in Madison. Bill was born in Waukesha on Dec. 21, 1929 to Lloyd and Margaret (Murray) Green.

Bill worked at Roxo Beverage in Waukesha, was a cook at VA Hospital Waukesha, Hoppe Dairy in Genesse, and in his later years worked at Vogt Inc. for 20 years and was a school bus driver for Dousman Transport in the 70s. Bill was a member of the Waukesha National Guard 32nd Division and was a mess sergeant for 13 years. He was a member of the 132 Signal Battalion B for Waukesha who served in Fort Lewis, Wash., for the Bay of Pigs. Bill liked shooting guns, playing bingo and going to the Lebanon White Tails baseball games. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy.

Survivors include: daughters, Connie (Kirt) Kemnitz of Lebanon and Cheryl (Charlie) Raasch of Hillsboro, formerly of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Tryke (Joy) Kemnitz, Tigh (Beth) Kemnitz, Tade (Kinley) Kemnitz, Tori (Chris) Mizerak and Kyla (Chris) Luther; great-grandchildren, Chandler, Liberty, Johnny, Josh, Jeffery, Tucker, Cooper and Baby; sisters, Marge and Charlotte; brothers, Melvin and Bob; and also is survived by in-laws, David (Judy) Wendt, Elaine (Robert) Davidson and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dogs, Venus, Snoopy and Princess; his parents; brother, Everett; and wife, Charlotte.

Memorials to the family would be appreciated.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the Pederson Funeral Home, Watertown. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until the time of the 1 p.m. service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in La Belle Cemetery in Oconomowoc.
