Winifred C. ‘Winnie’ ‘Mimi’ Johnson

Winifred C. "Winnie" "Mimi" Johnson of Waukesha, formerly of Appleton, was reunited with her husband of 69 years, Russell, on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at the age of 89 years.
Winnie was born July 2, 1920, the daughter of Sylvester and Wilamina Houk. She was united in marriage to Russell Johnson on Dec. 2, 1939. Winnie was a member of St. William Catholic Church and formerly of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton of New Berlin. She was a hardworking wife, mom and Mimi.
Winnie will be dearly remembered by her daughter, Sally (Jim) Sheahan of Waukesha; her granddaughters, Tammy and Jenni, both of Waukesha; great-grandsons, Chance and Josh; special niece, Shelly Bultman; and brother, Bob (Leslie) Houk. Winnie is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Winnie was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
The memorial Mass for Winnie will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Jason Lavann will be officiating. The visitation for Winnie will be from 2 p.m. Sunday until the 4 p.m. memorial Mass at the church.
