Wrensch Dec. 21, 1923 -
Oct. 7, 2009 Betty J. Wrensch,
85, of Watertown, passed away at her home on Wednesday evening, Oct. 7,
2009. The former Elizabeth Jane Westphal was born in Waukesha on Dec. 21,
1923, daughter of Walter and Katherine (Jaworski) Westphal.
She attended St.
Joseph’s Catholic School in Waukesha. On Nov. 4, 1944, she married
Delmar M. Wrensch in Little Rock, Ark. He preceded her in death Sept. 6,
1979. Betty was a member
of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. She was also a member of the
Watertown Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 7852, AARP and the
Watertown Community Senior Center and volunteered at Marquardt Memorial
Manor. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, dancing, gambling, bus trips and
traveling. Survivors include
her three daughters, Jean (Al) Altenburg of Watertown, Patricia Wrensch of
Watertown and Sally (Dave) Wendt of Mercer; a son, Delmar (Ellen) Wrensch
of Cupertino, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Brenda (Bryan) Gatzke, Tyson
Wrensch, Mardell Wrensch, Kelly (Rob) Vogel, Matt (Samantha) Wendt, Mike
Wendt and Joey Wendt; three great-grandchildren, Bryan Wendt, Zack Vogel
and Alex Vogel; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was the last
member of her immediate family. In addition to her
husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jeanette
Koloski; four brothers, Bill, Danny, Walter and David Westphal; a
sister-in-law, Ruby Sykora; and her companion, Harris Boeder. Visitation will be
held from noon until the 3 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Oct. 11, at
Hafemeister Funeral Home, 611 E. Main St., Watertown, with the Rev. Brian
Wilk of St. Henry Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery in Johnson Creek. Memorials are
suggested to the charity of one’s choice. Hafemeister
