Martin H. Kleinow

Martin H. Kleinow, of Las Vegas, formerly of Waukesha, died Oct. 15, 2009, at age 89. He was born Sept. 6, 1920, the son of William and Martha (Brown) Kleinow.

Martin was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Waukesha. He retired after 40 years as a self-employed painting contractor. Martin loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Darlene) Kleinow; his daughter, Babara Werra; his grandchildren, Katrina Regenfuss, Matthew (Laura) and Jason Kleinow, and Dennis and Daniel (Aya) Werra; great-granddaughter, Abigail; and sisters, Helen Ewert and Lorraine Christianson.

Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, and many other relatives and friends.

The visitation for Martin will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. service at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will immediately follow the service at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin.
