LaVerne Irwin of Waukesha died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at LindenGrove Nursing Home at the age of 90. LaVerne was born in Wausaukee on Dec. 8, 1918, the daughter of Elmer and Laura Benjamin.
She was an active member of Mother of Perpetual Help Church in Milwaukee.
LaVerne will be sadly missed by her sons, Peter (Kay) Bantz of Waukesha and Paul (Sue) Bantz of Colgate; grandchildren, Kimberley (Steve) Johnson, Jon (Vicki) Bantz, Ryan Bantz and Lauren Bantz; great-granddaughters, Elena and Addison Johnson; sisters-in-law, Stella and Eleanor Benjamin; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Bantz Sr. and Charles Irwin, her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Oct. 24, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha.
