Homer L. Kuntz

Homer L. Kuntz, 81, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. Homer was born July 1, 1928, the son of the late Walter and Edna (nee Schaffer) Kuntz.

Homer was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served his time in France driving heavy equipment. He was retired from Waukesha Engine (formerly Waukesha Motor Works), and was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Helenville and the American Legion Thomas Holcomb Post No. 304.

Homer is survived by his sister, Grace Cullen, nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (nee Timm), in 1990; sisters, Ethel, Florence, Minnie, and Eleanor; and his brother, Melvin.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the 5 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Oct. 29, at Mealys Funeral Home 320 W. Main St., Palmyra, with the Rev. Lance Hoff officiating. A private family burial with military honors will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Helenville.
