James L. ‘Jim’ Gasser

James L. "Jim" Gasser, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 62. He was born Jan. 28, 1947, the son of Lloyd and Patricia (Savatski) Gasser.
Jim married the love of his life, Judy McHalsky, on May 11, 1968. He was an avid football and baseball watcher. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to places like Jamaica and Alaska. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family watching sports. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Judy; son, Jon Gasser (significant other Tracy Whiteacker); daughter, Julie (John) Shea; granddaughter, Danielle; stepgranddaughter, Alix Caucutt; brothers, Thomas (Debbie) Gasser, Mike (Kim) Gasser, Dennis Gasser and Jerry (Joan) Gasser; and sister, Mary (Jeff) Pichalski. Jim is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Saturday, Oct. 31, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Burial with military honors will immediately follow the service at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
