WAUKESHA Arvid G. Johnson
Jr. Arvid G. Johnson Jr.,
of Waukesha, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Prairie Village, Kan., at
the age of 82. He was born in Beloit, the son of Arvid Sr. and Edith (McAffee)
Johnson. After serving his
country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, Arv was a technical writer
for most of his working career. He had many interests, which included
photography, bird watching and music.
He will be deeply
missed by his daughter, Wende (Patrick Fair) Anderson of Menomonee Falls,
and grandchildren, Nathan, Erin, Keith, Kevin and Melanie. He was preceded in
death by his daughter, Arlys, and his parents.
Special thanks to his
sister-in-law and her husband, Patricia and Dean Davenport, and family in
Kansas for the loving care they gave to Arv. Visitation will be
held from 2:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Randle-Dable Funeral
Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A military service will begin at 3
p.m. at the funeral home, provided by D.J. Martin American Legion Post No.
8 of Waukesha, with full military honors to follow.
