‘Trapper’ Kraatz July 18, 1939 - Sept.

“Trapper” Kraatz of the town of Richmond passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1,
2009, at his residence. He was 70 years old. John was born July 18,
1939, in John served his
country in the U.S. Army for more than three years. He retired from the
Waukesha Fire Department as a lieutenant after 35 years of service. Survivors include his
wife, Susan Knoblock Kraatz; his sister, Barbara Kraatz; his children, Jon
(Janie) Kraatz, Debra (Gene) Clark, Diane (Mark) Behling and Jeffery
(Paula) Kraatz; his stepchildren, Herman Knoblock, Margaret (John)
Brunover and Marvin Knoblock (Jenny Schroeder); 12 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
John was preceded in
death by his parents and a grandson, Michael Clark. Visitation will be
held from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. family eulogy today, Sept. 5, at Schmidt
& Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, Schmidt & Bartelt
