Bernice H. Brandenburg

Bernice H. Brandenburg, fondly known to friends as "Bobbie," passed to eternal life Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at her home in Pewaukee after a yearlong illness.

She was the dear aunt of Martha Steiner; great-aunt of Daniel and David Steffen; and great-great aunt of Abigail Steffen. She is further survived by her husband, Kenneth Steele of Pewaukee, his children, grandchildren and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Myrtle and Harvey Zunker.

Bobbie Brandenburg retired from Cutler-Hammer Inc. after 39 years of service in 1979 and became active in Oconomowoc Saddle Club, Heiliger Huegel Ski Club, the Pewaukee Area Historical Society, Old World Wisconsin and was a founding member of Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church and a board member of the Retzer Nature Center. She enjoyed horseback riding, skiing, camping, canoeing and photography.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. memorial service Sunday, Sept. 13, at Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delafield.

in lieu of flowers, memorials to the Rolland Nelson Crossroads Home Care & Hospice program are requested.
