He was a graduate of Waukesha High School, where he was active in choirs and dramatics. He later sang with the Waukesha Motors Glee Club. David was active at Salem United Methodist Church for many years, both as a member and custodian. He did volunteer work at the old Northview Home as well as other projects in Waukesha. He enjoyed his home and family. He especially enjoyed tending to his garden and roses.
