Joseph Gaylord St. Aubin

Joseph Gaylord St. Aubin entered eternal rest Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009. Joseph was born in West Allis to Joseph Francis and Mary Frances St. Aubin.
He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1955, joined the Army at Fort Leonard Wood in 1959 and married Barbara Jean Meyer on June 6, 1959. Joseph worked for the Avalon Hotel chain in Milwaukee, later acting as food service director for the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Briggs & Stratton and the University of Illinois-Chicago. He moved his family to Madison in October 1973, where he worked at Metropolitan Life and Century 21 Realty and joined the Oregon Masonic Lodge.
In 1997, he retired to Pewaukee and married Marie Elizabeth Pederson on Oct. 14, 2006.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Marie St. Aubin; four daughters, Christine Mortensen (James), Deborah Ehlinger (David), Susanne Saint Aubin (David Nelson) and Laura St. Aubin; stepdaughter, Darlene Doyle; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Archibald, Michael Archibald, Shannan Archibald, Ivyanne Elborough, Margaret Elborough and Grace Elborough; and a stepgranddaughter, Megan Sancinati.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marceline Bell and Donna Badzio; and wife, Barbara.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, N27-W24000 Paul Court, City of Pewaukee. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Sept. 19, at the church.
