BROOKFIELD

Harlow P. Bielefeldt

May 13, 1932 - Sept. 18, 2009

Harlow P. Bielefeldt passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at age 77.

He was the beloved husband and best friend of Sammy (nee Jung). Harlow was the proud and loving dad of seven children. He was a grandfather of 14, and excitedly looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandchild. He is further survived by other relatives and many special friends.

Harlow was not a religious man, but had a deep spirituality that guided him. He did not particularly believe in the "hereafter" but rather in the "now," living one day at a time. He was a friend of Bill W.

Harlow was an avid bird watcher and spent many happy hours peering through his binoculars, participating on various bird counts and going on several guided birding trips with his son, Doug, of Eugene, Ore.

Harlow loved reading, volunteering in the recovering community, cooking, researching anything and everything on the computer and his nightly bowl of ice cream. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his wife, Sam, "the best thing that ever happened to me."

A time of gathering will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, until a celebration of life at 3 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 1875 N. Calhoun Road in Brookfield. Interment will be held at a later date.

Donations may be made to AA Milwaukee Central Office or the Wisconsin Parkinsonís Association.

Church and Chapel Ritter-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home is serving the family. For more information, call 827-0659 or visit www.churchandchapel.com to view the online obituary, leave condolences or receive directions.

"Harlow, you will always be loved and never forgotten. Fly with the birds, My Love, it was a good life."
