WAUKESHA

William P. "Bill" Zickau

William P. "Bill" Zickau, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, left this world Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at the young age of 55.

He now is free from pain and is resting in his heavenly home as he looks upon his loving wife, Beverly, and his caring children, Stephen, Jennifer and Colleen (Tony) D’Amato. Bill is the dear son of William Sr. and Bettye; son-in-law of Bernice Grundman; brother of David and Amy; and the proud "papa" of his beloved grandchildren, "Papa’s Dumplin" Faith Anne Zickau and "his little Willie," Alonzo William Zickau, who he will be guiding and holding close throughout their lives. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Bill worked for 36 years at Alloy Products. He took great joy in being with his family and living in his country home. He loved the Badgers, baseball, and enjoyed bowling, golfing and joking around with all of us. We will miss his "one-liners."

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. vigil service Friday, Sept. 25, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Visitation continues from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass on Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Leonard Barbian will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial gifts to help offset medical and funeral costs. Contributions can be given to the family or sent to the "BZ Support Fund" c/o Educators Credit Union, 448 Falcon Ridge, Burlington, WI 53105.
