Sept. 1, 1927 – April 5, 2010

Alfred J. Snyder passed away peacefully Monday, April 5, 2010, at the age of 82.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph G. and Anna C. Snyder; and his siblings, Andrew, Louis, Dorothy Graser, Magdalen Vesbach, Claude, Joseph and Joan Zickert.

He is survived by his loving caretakers, his niece, Mary Ann, and her husband, Gary Maske. He was the dear uncle of Edward Snyder, Margaret Schumann, John Vesbach, Barbara Boonchouy, Eileen Freiburger, Jane Arnold, Robert Snyder, Claudia Kaltz, Richard Snyder, Tom Zickert, Joseph Snyder, James Snyder, Kathy Tiesl, Christine Kendall, Helen Glander, Paul Snyder and Terrance Snyder; uncle-in-law of Mary Jane Graser; and brother-in-law of Margaret and Miriam Snyder. He is further survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and great great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

A very special thank you to all the girls at Birch Rock Corners for their excellent care, love and support given to Al and his family over the last two years. You will never be forgotten.

Visitation was held Thursday, April 8, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 W. National Ave., New Berlin. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 9, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 W. National Ave., New Berlin. Please meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Friday. Interment will be at Holy Apostles Cemetery.
