Dec. 23, 1926 – April 10, 2010


Ruth Virginia Kastner died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at AngelGrace Hospice at the age of 83. Ruth was born Dec. 23, 1926, to the late Gustave and Helen (nee Krause) Punzel in Mukwonago.

On April 26, 1949, Ruth married Donald "Shorty" Kastner in Kansas City, Kan. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1945. For most of Ruth’s career, she worked in the banking business. She retired from Bank One-Chase in 1998. Ruth enjoyed bowling and tending to her vegetable garden.

She was the loving wife of 61 years to Donald; cherished mom of Susan Stocks, Sherri (Robert) Krantz and Janet (James Denk) Blankenheim; proud grandmother of John (Jenna) Stocks, Bill Stocks, Joe Stocks, Kristin Krantz and Tyler Blankenheim; and great-grandmother of Gradin and Charlie Nicole Stocks. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Sunday, April 18, at First Congregational Church of Genesee, W306-S5075 Church St., Mukwonago (Genesse).
