Edward J. Colloton

Edward J. Colloton entered eternal life Monday, April 19, 2010, at the age of 88. He was born in Waukesha on Dec. 23, 1921, to Marie (nee Knoebel) and Edward J. Colloton.
He was the devoted husband and high school sweetheart of Kathleen "Dee" for 65 years; and the dear dad of Kathleen, Patricia (Joe Walsh), Maribeth "Buffie" (Dr. Eugene Cheng), Kevin (Patti) and Colleen (Jon Bassindale). He is also survived by 17 grandkids, seven great-granddaughters, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his grandson, Seamus Walsh; sister, Marion (Hlavacek); and three brothers, Dick, Paul and Mike.
A 1940 graduate of Messmer High School, Eddie left an academic and football scholarship at Regis College in Denver to enter the Coast Guard during World War II, crossing the English Channel 38 times in support of the D-Day invasion at Normandy. Eddie was a milkman at Golden Guernsey Dairy in Waukesha for 37 years.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Thursday, April 22, at St. Agnes Parish, 12801 W. Fairmount Ave., Butler. Private interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Tuition Angels at St. Agnes School in Butler.
