Betty P. Schrupp

Betty P. Schrupp of Waukesha passed away on Saturday,
April 24, 2010, at Avalon Square at the age of 90 years.
Betty was born in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of
Ida and David Pugh. She graduated from Mankato State Teachers College,
where she received her degree in education. She taught in Minnesota and
Wisconsin schools. Betty served on the board of directors for both the
Waukesha Symphony Orchestra and its auxiliary; serving as president and
first lady of the auxiliary. She served as president of the Waukesha
Service Club, the Senior League and the Ideal Club. Betty was also a
member of Questers, was active in the American Field Service, and was also
a Brownie and Cub Scout Leader. Betty served as chairman of both the
charity ball and symphony ball. She was a member of the Southminster
Presbyterian Church, Waukesha, where she served on the Members Care
Committee. Betty enjoyed traveling, knitting, crafts, and cooking. Her
greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Betty will be dearly missed by her son, David
(Betty Scanlon) Schrupp of Waukesha; daughter, Catherine (Ronald) Wesley
of Butler, Pa.; three grandchildren, James, Chrissy and Caitlin; and
greatgranddaughter, Ava. She is further survived by many other relatives
and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, and her
parents.
A private family memorial service for Betty will
be held at a later date. Memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s
