Beverly M. Hanley

Beverly
M. Hanley passed away peacefully on April 26, 2010, at the age of 82. She
was born Nov. 1, 1927, in Milwaukee and was the beloved wife of David F.
Hanley. Bev and Dave had been classmates in grade school at St. Augustine
parish school in Bay View. They were married May 8, 1954.
Bev was a registered nurse, and a graduate of the Milwaukee County School
of Nursing. She was a cadet nurse at the time World War II ended. She
enjoyed many reunions throughout the years with her classmates.
Bev and Dave raised five sons, who provided them great joy through their
years together. Their sons include Tim (Monica), David (Karen), Mark
(Mary), the late Brian (Julie) and Steven (Kristina). They were blessed
with 15 grandchildren. Other survivors include her brother, John (Joan)
Eisch and his family. Bev was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Gladys
Eisch, and a sister, June Hinich.
Bev was a devoted mother, always ready with an abundance of love, a word
of advice and an ear to listen. She spent years helping out at St. Mary’s
school in Waukesha and was active in the Parish’s Mother’s Club as
well as Catholic Study Club. Bev’s life was enriched by her many
friendships and loving relationships that have lasted her a lifetime. She
will be remembered always for her smile and generous heart.
Bev and Dave enjoyed spending winters in Bonita Springs, Fla., where they
had a very active social life. Bev and Dave spent many nights watching
their sons and grandchildren compete in sports and other activities in
high school and college. Bev was always one of their biggest supporters.
Dave and Bev were also involved in many activities at Marquette
University. They enjoyed going to basketball games and socializing with
others from the university.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brian D. Hanley Fund,
which supports Catholic Memorial High School, Marquette University and the
Melanoma Research Foundation. Gifts can be sent to the fund in care of the
Catholic Community Foundation at 637 E. Erie St., Milwaukee, WI 53202.
Visitation will be held at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave.,
Waukesha from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 29. The Mass of Christian
burial will be held at St. Mary’s in Waukesha at 10:30 a.m. Friday,
April 30. Private interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery. For more
