Brian J. Burns
 

Brian J. Burns of Waukesha passed away unexpectedly in the evening hours Monday, April 26, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, at the age of 77 years.

Brian proudly served his country during the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged in 1954 and was married to Roberta "Bobbi" (Bass).

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Bobbi; his sons, Mark (Cathy) Burns of Menomonee Fall and Stephen (Julie) Burns of St. Cloud, Minn.; and his daughter, Laura (Perry) Wilcox of South Elgin, Ill. Brian will also be remembered by his grandchildren: Emily, Samuel, Jonathan, Hunter, Logan Madeline, Rachel, Tanner and Olivia, as well as other relatives and friends. He continually showed his family how to treasure those closest to them.

His love for Jesus Christ his savior shaped every day of his life and impacted those he came in contact with.

The visitation for Brian will be held from 6 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010, until the 7 p.m. funeral service at Elmbrook Church, 777 South Barker Road, Brookfield, WI 53045.

The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m. with pastors Doug Schoen and Dave Briscoe officiating.

Interment with full military honors will be held at noon Monday, May 3, 2010, in Southern Wisconsin Veteranís Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
